FAS Design Services at Penn State provide installation diagrams and methods for the implementation of building automation solutions at University Park and across the commonwealth campuses.
We have six(6) Professional Designers that specialize in drawings, programming and graphics for facility automation systems. We rotate design functions as part of our in-house training program while incorporating direct field support with FAS technicians and other Penn State OPP staff throughout the life of the project.

FAS Design Services standard practice is to verify existing conditions thru onsite visual inspections along with assistance in the design discussions and reviews to accurately identify and address issues involved on a project.

Design Deliverables
- Mechanical Drawings based on the Engineering Design Specification.
- Submit for the device instance numbers and creation of Communication Riser Diagrams.
- Programming and installation process associated with the sequence of operations.
- Graphics for each piece of equipment.
- Online records for retention in Docfinity.
